A Very Famous And Sacred Temple Situated On The Bank Of Bhagmati River Is Located In Kathmandu Valley In Nepal. A Very Famous Hindu Temple Dedicated To Lord Shiva. The Famous Festival Celebrated Are Shivratri, Teej, Chaturdashi. The Temple Is Build Up In Pagoda Architecture Style. It Is A Temple Which Serves As The Seat Of The Deity, Lord Pashupatinath Which In Literal Terms Means Lord Of Animals.

This Temple Is Included As One Of The Seven Monument Groups In UNESCO's Designation As A Cultural Heritage Site. It Is Also Under Of The 12 Jyotirlinga In India. It Is Said That Even In Earthquake Of 2015 In Nepal Could Not Touch The Temple. The Temple Was Left Untouched But Some Of The Outer Buildings Were Damaged . There Are Several Stories Which Are Famous Amongst Them One Is That It Is Said That, Shiva And Parvati Once Came To Kathmandu Valley And They Were So Pleased By The Beauty And Surroundings Of The Forest That They Decided To Take The Form Of A Deer And Wander In The Forest. Later After Many Complications Other Gods Could Find Them And Asked Them To Return. As Both The Lord Shiva And Parvati Reside Her They Decided To Stay Here In The Form Of The Lord Of Animals That Is Pashupatinath. There Are 4 Entrance In All The Tour Direction Of The Temple And Are Opened During Regular Time. It Remains Open From 5 Am To 12 Pm In Morning And 5 Pm To 7 Pm For Evening Rituals.
