Golconda Fort Is Also Known As Golkonda. Gol Konda Or Golla Konda Built In Hyderabad. This Region Is Also Famous For The Mine Which Have Produced Some Famous Gem Including The Famous Koh-I-Noor. It Is Originally Known As 'Mankal' And Was Built By Kokatiya Dynasty For The Western Defenses Along The Lines Of Kondapalli Fort Perspectives. It Is Built On A Granite Hill And Is Surrounded By Massive Battlements. It Was Rebuilt By ‘Rani Rudrama Devi’ And Her Successor ‘Prataprudra’.

The Fort Finally Fell Into Ruin In 1687, After A Long Siege Year Leading To Its Full At The Hangs Of The Mughal Emperor ‘Aurangzeb’. It Has A Very Relevance As Reaching The Top Of The Fort One Can Overlook The Whole City Of Hyderabad. Inside It There Is A Mosque Of ‘Ibrahim’. A Temple Of Local Goddess, The Baradari At The Top Of The Citadel. It Is In Official "List Of Monuments" Prepared By The Archaeological Survey Of India Under The Ancient Monuments And Archaeological Sites And Remains Act. It Actually Consist Of Four Distant Forts, Eight Gateways And Four Drawbridges With Numbers Of Royal Apartments And Halls, Magazines, Stables Etc. The Entrance Gate Which We Enter First Is Named As 'Fateh Darwaza'. They Even Have A Secret Tunnel Which Lead To 'Char Minar'. A Most Eye Blending Site To Be Visited.
