Built In The Name Of The Mughal Emperor Humayun Is The Famous Humayun's Tomb In Nizamuddin East, Delhi. The Architect Of This Eminent Tomb Was Mirak Mirza Ghiyas.

The Humayun's Tomb Is Also Known As Maqbara -E- Humayun. It Was Commissioned By The First Wife And Chief Concert Of Humayun, Empress Bega Begum In 1569-70. It Is Very Nearby Located To The Purana Qila. It Is Structured By Red Stone And Is Declared A Unesco World Heritage Site. Next To The Main Tomb Of Humayun, There Are Several Small Monuments Lined Up The Pathway Which Leads To The Main Entrance. The Main Tomb Of The Emperor Humayun, Marks The Graves Of His Wife Bega Begum Herself And Hamida Begum, The Grave Of Great Great Grand Son Of The Emperor Humayun And The Son Of Shah-Jahan.

Including The Graves Of Jahandar Sahab, Farrukhsiyar, Rafi-Ul-Darfat. Rafi-Ud-Daulat, Mohhommad-Kam-Baksh And Alamgir Second. It Is Built On The Bank Of Yamuna River . During The Indian Rebellion Of 1857 The Last Mughal Emperor Bahadur Shah Jafar Took Refuge Here. The Tombs Of Battashewala Complex Lie In The Buffer Zone Of The Tomb Complex Separating The Two Complexes By A Small Road But In One Complex With Separate Compound Wall. In This Complex There Is More Then 100 Graves That's Why This Place Is Also Known As Dormitory Of Mughals.
