Hauz Khas Village Is Based On Indo-Islamic Architecture In South Delhi Is A Huge Water Tank, A Mosque, A Tomb And Pavilions Made Up Of An Urbanized Village. The Northern Limb Of Madarsa Has The Tomb Of Firoz Shah And Ends In A Mosque.

 It Marks The Traces Of Medieval History Of 13th Century Of Delhi Sultanate Of Allauddin Khilji's Dynasty. The Essence Of The Word Huaz Khas Is Hauz (Water Tank) And Khas (Royal) That Is Royal Tank. This Tank Was De-Silted During The Reign Of Firoz Shah Tuglaq. Many Buildings, Madarsa And Mosques Were Built Overlooking The Water Tank Or Lake. Later It Was Developed As The Upper Class Residential In The 14th To 16th Century. Numerous Art Galleries, Boutiques, Disc Bars And Restaurants Are Now Found. Several Monuments On The Southern And And Eastern Banks Of The Reservoir Was Built By Firoz Shah Tuglaq. The Doors, Pillars And Lintels Are Made Up Of Grey Quartzites And The Carvings Of The Battlements Red Stones. Four Graves Are Found Inside The Complex Of Firoz Shah, Two Of His Son And Grand Son.

The Village Complex Is Surrounded By Sufdarjung Enclave, Green Park, South Extension And Great Kailash. A Huge Gallery With Three Pavilions, Dadi-Poti Ka Gumbad, Deer Park And Immense Flora And Fauna Is Found Inside The Complex.
