The Indian Board For The Wildlife Felt In The Year 1952 That A Zoo In The Capital Of Our Country To Provide Recantation To People At Large Is Required. According To Them Some Prominent Nature Lover In Delhi Including The Great Leader Smt. Indira Gandhi Was A Chairman Constituted For A Park Was Made With A Message Of Preserving The Ones Who Can Not Speak Was Must Required. The Director Of The Bylan Zoological Garden, Colombo Was Invited To Help Draw A Coordinated Plan For Development Of The Park. Later Mr Carl Hogen N Beck, Owner Of The Famous Animal Park At Hamburg, Germany Was Called For The Enclosure.

The Plan Was Approved In The Parliament On 31st December 1956. The End 1959 Marked The Sufficient Construction. The Roads, Waterways, Moats, Ponds And Animal Houses Can Be Found Here. The Collection Here Comprises Of Tigers, Leopards, Bears, Foxes, Monkey, Deer, Antelope And Many Birds. The Park Was Formally Inaugurated On 1st November 1959 By Mr. Panjab Rao Deshmukh. In The Year 1982 It Was Given The Status Of National Zoological Park And Is A Marvelous Place To Visit In India.
