Shanti Stupa Is Built In The Beautiful Leh District Of Ladakh, In The North Indian State Of Jammu And Kashmir. Here Is The Place Were Shanti Stupa Is Built In 1993 By The Japanese Buddhist Bhikshu, Gyomyo Nakamura And Part Of Peace Pagoda Mission. The 14th Dalai Lama Was The One Which Holds The Relics Of The Buddha At At Its Base In Shanti Stupa. The Shanti Stupa Features The Photograph Of The Present Dalai Lama With The Relics Of The Buddha At Its Base. The Shanti Stupa Is Built As A Two Level Structure. The First Level Features The Central Relief Of Dharmachakra With Deer On Each Side.

A Central Golden Buddha Image Sits On A Platform Depicting The "Turning Wheel Of Dharma". The Second Level Level Has Reliefs Depicting The Birth Of Buddha, The Death Of Buddha And Buddha In Form Of "Defeating The Devils" Through His Meditation. The Main Aim Of The Stupa Is To Promote World Peace And Prosperity And To Commemorate 2500 Years Of Buddhism. A Very Beautiful Place Which Attracts The Tourists From All Over The World The Most.
